What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. LetTrack uses only the cookies strictly necessary to operate the service, plus the analytics cookies below if you accept them. Separately from cookies, we store a small amount of data in your browser so parts of the service work offline — that is described under “Offline reading” below.

Offline reading (stored on your device, not a cookie)
So that your compliance summary or your documents list is still readable when you have no signal, LetTrack keeps a small copy of the last page you looked at in your browser’s local storage. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to us or to anyone else — it only ever travels from our server to your device.
What is in it: for a landlord, one line per property with counts such as “1 overdue, 3 valid”. For a tenant, one line per document type with its expiry date. It deliberately holds no file names, no notes, no references, no names of people and no Right to Rent records.
How long it lasts: it is deleted when you sign out, when you switch organisation, and when your role or membership changes. If none of those happen, it deletes itself seven days after it was saved.
Turning it off: clearing your browser’s site data removes it immediately. An organisation can switch offline reading off for everyone in it, in which case any copy already on a device is deleted the next time that person opens LetTrack.
Analytics cookies (consent required)
With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These cookies are off by default and only load after you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell or share your browsing data.

Managing or withdrawing consent
If you reject analytics cookies, none are set. To withdraw consent after accepting, clear the lt-cookie-consent cookie (and any _ga cookies) in your browser settings — the banner will then reappear so you can choose again. Disabling authentication cookies will prevent you from logging in.
