I paid my rent — why does LetTrack still show it as outstanding?

Short answer

A tenant saying "I've paid" doesn't mark the rent as received on its own — your landlord or agent still has to confirm it. Until they do, the month shows as waiting for confirmation, not as paid.

How a rent month gets marked paid

LetTrack doesn't process rent payments — money still moves directly between tenant and landlord. There are two ways a rent month ends up marked paid:

  1. Your landlord or agent marks it paid directly on the tenancy's rent list (Mark paid / Mark unpaid).
  2. You tell them you've paid. On a rent month, tap I've paid and enter the amount, date, and optionally a note or proof. This files a claim — it does not mark the month paid by itself.

While a claim is pending

You'll see "Waiting for your landlord to confirm" under that rent month. Your landlord sees it on the rent row, a banner, and their dashboard, and can:

  • Approve it — the payment is recorded and the proof (if you added one) is filed against it
  • Reject it, with a reason you'll see on the rent month

You get an in-app notification either way (there's no email for this). Only one pending claim is allowed per rent month at a time.

If your landlord hasn't responded

If you've filed a claim and it's still pending, or you think it was rejected in error, contact your landlord or agent directly — LetTrack only carries the record of what was claimed and decided, it can't approve a payment for them.
