Why did I get a compliance deadline alert?

Short answer

LetTrack runs a daily check and alerts every manager on your organisation — by email and in-app notification — when a compliance requirement (like a Gas Safety Certificate, EICR, or EPC) is approaching its due date, and once if it lapses. You can control which channels you receive these on from your notification preferences.

Why did I get a compliance deadline alert?

LetTrack checks every property's compliance requirements each morning and warns you before something expires, rather than after a tenant or an inspector tells you.

When you're alerted

  • Before the deadline: one alert at 60 days, 30 days, and 7 days before a requirement is due (or the specific windows set on that compliance rule, if different).
  • Once it's overdue: one further alert on the day it lapses.
  • You get one alert per window crossed, not a repeated daily reminder for the same deadline. A very old overdue backlog item (more than 30 days past due) stops generating new alerts, even though it still shows as overdue on your Compliance page.
  • Right to Rent checks are handled by a separate reminder flow and are not included in these alerts.

Who gets it

Every active manager on the property's organisation — owners, admins, and (for agencies) property managers and admins. If more than one person manages the property, more than one person is alerted.

How you're alerted

Both an in-app notification and an email, by default.

Turning channels on or off

Go to Notification preferences to switch email or in-app alerts off, or to mute notifications for a period. Compliance deadline alerts always honour these settings — if you've muted notifications or turned a channel off, you won't get one on that channel until you turn it back on.

What to do next

The alert links straight to the property's Compliance page, where you can see the requirement and upload a renewed certificate.
